This program is geared toward actors looking for an intermediate/advanced program. The course will cover on-camera acting theory, as well as practical skills to ground the actor in the moment and explore on camera monologue and scene study. Rotenberg technique is taught and implemented in scene work throughout the course.
CALEB MARSHALL - ACTRA
A native of Fredericton, NB, Caleb Marshall most recently served as Artistic Director of the Sudbury Theatre Centre for three seasons and prior was the Producer of Theatre New Brunswick (TNB) for five seasons.
Caleb has studied with renowned Canadian on camera coach David Rotenberg and worked with Kevin Spacey, Rosie O'Donnell and Scott Speedman.
Caleb was an Education Practitioner at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre as well as resident director for their UK/European tour of Romeo & Juliet. He holds a BFA Honors in Acting from York University, an MFA with Distinction in Theatre Directing from Middlesex University London (UK) and trained with The Stratford Festival’s Conservatory for Classical Theatre Training, Moscow’s GITIS Academy and on an International Artist Fellowship at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre. Caleb has premiered roles for the National Arts Centre, Canadian Stage, The Blyth Festival, The Stratford Festival and the Old Vic in London. He has also taught workshops at festivals in Poland and Germany as well as teaching at St. Thomas and Dalhousie Universities.
He has received the Christopher Plummer Fellowship Award and was recognized by the New Brunswick Arts Board with an Excellence Award in the Arts. Caleb's film credits include Cardinal Cycle 1 & 2, Grim Trigger, Sticks & Stones, Queer As Folk, Indian Horse and more.
