Working actors understand the value and importance of training. It pays to stay sharp, in-the-know and continuously working on your craft.
This on-camera training course ideal for actors with some theatrical/film background or for actors who have an interest in film & television performance. During this one-day intensive, actors will have the opportunity to work with Casting Director Melissa A. Smith to develop their audition technique, perfect on-camera presence and work on scripted material. Have you been called in to audition recently but didn't book the role? Are you curious to know what is working for and against you in the audition room? If you are ready to kick the nerves that are holding you back, you need feedback.
CONTENT : On camera audition technique, character development + preparation, understanding what is required from you in the room, working the call back, creating the illusion of spontaneity in scripted work, structuring the camera frame, deﬁning choices in scripted material, the business of auditioning, understanding the your audience, understanding industry standards, do's and don'ts of auditioning, in-the-room etiquette, on camera tool acquisition, establishing familiarity, comfort and conﬁdence in an audition room. All workshops are documented on SD CARD for in class and home review.
